Thank you, Why Not Petites, for hosting us at your beautiful artist exhibition. The live music by Fundamental Fink was exceptional, and the live painting installation by Kim Aponi was very thought-provoking. I was most excited to see the debut of fashion designer Sophia from Sisumoira, who started her brand in 2020 with upcycled pieces. I can appreciate how they were put together with such attention to detail. Being a huge fan of upcycled fashion, these pieces spoke to me in a language that made perfect sense. One of my favorite looks was #3, the bow look worn by Abby Rozens. It walked so effortlessly down the runway; I could envision myself styling it for an editotial.
Fashion designer Niczka designs pieces that definitely capture the essence of Chicago in January. I love that the collection is designed in Chicago and made in Ukraine. My favorite look was #8, the lace one-piece with the blazer! Here are some of the favorites that strutted down the runway.
